I have the same opinion about the police at the checkpoint: they have been SO incredibly nice to us…it is a STARK comparison to how I see cops in the US.

It’s such a strange feeling; I know there’s corruption here, but yet I don’t see the cops as dangerous/scary.

I know there’s not much “financial corruption” in terms of extortion from us the citizens…in the us—yet I am petrified of them and still am.
