You're a sound, kind and empathetic voice among the divided...the world is better with people like you; I know you enjoy your peace and quiet - but you will be needed over and over in these next few years dear friend.

I feel fortunate (I say fortunate because I would be utterly miserable) that all my closest family and friends stand united in not supporting Trump, with several of them leaning right....it would have been very hard for me to accept close friends voting for him, ONLY because it's my problem - not theirs. I'm the one taking it personally...I'm married to a black man, we were immigrants at one point - so some issues I'm far too invested in - Trump represents a personal attack in a very deep way. I could not hate a Trump supporter...I know Trump played to their fears, he's a master con artist and his actions speak for themselves.

I feel for this nation that has been divided - because of him.

I never have had nor do I ever intend on having an argument with Trump supporters...our paradigms are just different. There is no point. I see that now clearly. I didn't see this in 2016...then-- I was ready to dialogue and give Trump a chance....

Eight years later...different world. I've seen and learned far too much.

Now I'm paralyzed.

Love that you wrote this to remind us all of the part we have to play in -- stand by integrity, kindness, ethics and love -- no matter how hard it gets. Heck walk away and stay in silence in you need to -

As for that last line - LOL - it was the best!

Peace to you Suze and your circle of family and friends. May it reign!
