Your categorizing friends into these two camps...and I never saw it that way, but you got me placing my friends in one or both. LOL.

For those of us who are both...it is exhausting when others see us as a filler of all their needs - that's another lesson to learn as the giver: we cannot allow others to use us as a cure-all friend.

I enjoy your reflections and advice, Ellen. You give us food for thought and an opportunity to step back and think how we too may be coming across wrongly to our friends.
