You rock!! And you are absolutely correct—

She offered me 21/hr and when she called me, and I asked if Nathan could join, she agreed to pay him.

She told me, “I have ‘my people paid more because I bring on immigrants and we work very hard and you know how we are..’…”—something to that effect.

I do know the immigrant drive and need and —come from that mindset of hard work.

But then I started worrying—it’ll be his first and while I’ll make sure he doesn’t slack, it’s not like he’s experienced.

So I then texted the next day and told her:
“We are so grateful that you’re giving him an opportunity to work, instead of 21/hr how about you pay him what the other workers do as it’s a win-win and you’re already doing me such a favor bringing him on”

She replied:

“Hi!
Fair is fair.
He can get paid what the rest of my team does. I know he’ll earn it!”

☺️😁😉🤗—so she’s like you and yes—because it all happened in a text, I had to show it all to Nathan and explain it to him so that he would appreciate exactly what you said.

Advocating for oneself is a HUGE topic and one that took me the longest time to learn—

Nathan will SOO need to continuously learn that—you are wise, insightful and my amazing entrepreneurial sister….so thanks for pushing, advising and encouraging!!!—i know you’ve helped so many others 😘😘😘

Thanks for reading sis!!
