I was your daughter back in the day - I would take it upon myself to help shed light on what I felt they would just light up and say, "oh wow - that makes sense! And it's loving and kind - of course, I agree with you!" LOL...

But you're right: there is no sense in arguing with the close-minded. They will reel you in and in the end only frustrate you more - and you're left more upset with them, bc you care for them and you want them to be kind. Not easy to accept...comes with age! ;-)
