You introduced me to a world of experiences I imagined existed only because of “Pretty in Pink”—I believe you’re much younger than I, so that may not mean much to you.

But to be honest, as a foreigner who lived in the US for close to 30 years—it sounds tome like an American phenomenon. I’m shocked by what I read of how common you not only experienced, but have found in others and sense present day is still happening.

That is grotesquely sad—really, this is disturbing. I am so sorry this happened to you and wish those coworkers had some common decency to show up.
