...which btw --isn't it amazing how women assign themselves a position in beauty by "proxy" (if so many win in my country, then I must be "really pretty" too?)

...I didn't write that here, but I don't doubt that is at play....

We lose sight of who we are as individuals - and one thing I pride about my background and many Venezuelans is many of us are made up of several ethnicities...
