Wow - Logan those questions are fantastic...I wish I could have eavesdropped in one of your classes.

WEre you able to ever ask these types of questions in your English classes? Would you feel comfortable asking those questions to your students?

I could talk to you for hours about each one of them...I think for me - it's impossible to tell if the poem was meant to be transgender or nontransgender - well, I think the writer wouldn't want it to be. That's what I've learned about poetry - that poets love that the reader can make of it what they choose. I learned that on Medium in this last year - and for the longest time I was so transfixed on knowing and wanting to know the writer's intent. Once I heard from several of you that it didn't matter and that you enjoyed the digression from what it meant to the author - it gave me the liberty to interpret it as I found it.

Loved your erotic poetry...
