Okay kidding aside - words are hurtful, and you have every right to publish at the standard you wish: as you correctly asserted: it's a win-win. Writers learn they need to improve and your publication maintains its standards. It must be terribly difficult to do what you as editors do - and I am in AWE of each of you who do this for "FREE!!!!" People -- these editors are not getting paid to read and edit your work!

I'm glad you wrote this - and Misbah, we love your publication - and I'm glad John is helping you - he's amazing, but don't sacrifice your writing too much. I don't have the answer and do not have balance myself - but advocating for Misbah and her needs - they are important!

Btw - congrats on this amazing pub! Keep it up - it's truly awesome!
