What Happens When the View of Our Audience Sitting Across From Us Is Not Clear?
I was both surprised and relieved to correct this writing mistake I have made for months
I haven’t been able to stop thinking about a phrase I read earlier today.
Linda Caroll masterfully wrote in this timeless piece,
“You have to know who you’re writing for.

The Wrong Filter
Without knowing it — I slowly created a filter in the last year.
I opened a blank Pages document in June 2022 when I started writing on Medium. I named it “Writing Advice and Tips.” Anytime I was given advice or a tip, I jotted it down along with crediting the author.
Within my first month on Medium I wrote down one of the first pieces of advice given: “Stop writing about yourself and your life, nobody cares” — copied and pasted verbatim into the notes of said document.
