Abortion is not a crime. It’s a medical procedure done with the aim of making sure that a future child isn’t born into a life of hopelessness, despair, or chronic illness. Or worse, simply unwanted by the parents. If nothing else, it’s one of the few tools for reducing the scourge of child abuse in this nation.
