Watched my son participate in track and field for 5 years in several events….some days great and others not….

The waiting all day for his 1 minute hurdle stint or long jump used to be excruciating….and when the weather was awful—it was gruesome.

I’m positive that child learned more about perseverance, heart and drive than he did about anything else.

When my phone shows me videos of the many track meets we went to—I smile.

Brenna is a higher level—she’s doing it in college.

She’ll look back one day and appreciate all it has represented.
