Ugh, it was so disturbing to read this. There’s a comment a lesbian friend of mine said earlier today that hasn’t left me, in fact, I want to write about it someday.

So it’s somewhat ironic that I read your story and am reminded of what a cruel world we live in where people show division and hate for something that has literally nothing to do with them. I hate that you’ve experienced what you have Logan, I winced when you described a mother who hid her kids from a man who is more than likely one of the safest human beings her kids could ever be around and yet her phobia limited her eyesight and heart sight for beyond reason. It’s just mindboggling.

Ugh, it’s the hate in so many parts of the US that just makes me have such a hard time feeling patriotic about my US citizenship…
We must do better. I hope you’re in a safer place and hope you are treated with kindness, love, and respect as you so well deserve,
