Touching memoir Shirley...it is eye-opening to see our parents once we are adults and notice what they dream through us that is often misunderstood or just not appreciated when we are kids. I'm glad your teacher helped you quit out of something you weren't enjoying - but you were willing to do to make your dad happy.
