This actually concerns me. It concerns me that we are not teaching ourselves and our fellow citizens to take time to read deeply, carefully. It does take discipline and critical thought to follow through on longer messages. It takes patience and effort. I feel social media has trained especially our youngest to only digest small bites of information. Therefore doesn’t that mean they never develop into learning how to read longer more complex pieces? Most good journalism is not short at all. Anyhow I vented away—your question took me to another place! I’ll personally look for your longer reads….I feel we all need to do our best to encourage the longer reads from time to time.
