The twist of events is so surreal, it’s al almost like a fiction tale. I can’t hold it in: while I would never wish that accident Cindy had on anyone, I am so annoyed that because of her your happiness is further delayed.
But I am 100% certain Mary has fallen in love with you more seeing how incredibly brave, generous, selfless and caring you have been to a woman who caused you so much pain.
It’s a lesson for us all; I won’t forget it.
Here’s wishing Cindy a constant recovery and that you and Mary take this pause to perhaps decide:
Shouldn’t that day instead be grander? Or perhaps should you give some thought to what you’ll do and where to go to celebrate? Sounds to me like that day and all you’ve been through is a day of immense celebration!!
Keep safe you two.
Oh and John—take this as if I were your daughter:
We just barely got you to survive your own illness. You are not at your physical strongest and you matter as your health. You know well that matters of the mind and heart do affect us physically. Do NOT wear yourself so thin taking care of Cindy such that you don’t have the strong enough health to be there for you and Mary. It’s a thin thin line trying to figure that out—you are wise and would know.
Please take care of yourself and make sure you are back to being 100% healthy. Please.
Rest well…eat well and go have fun with Mary!! While you wait for Cindy to mend and things to slow down—enjoy every moment with your Mary!!!!
