Thanks for writing Vanessa; excellent piece!!! Whenever I was given an opportunity, I always inserted this comment when I taught college aged children: it’s perfectly okay to choose to not have kids

… in fact, having a child is so incredibly difficult and sacrificial, I’m saddened and deeply concerned when children are constantly brought in this world by people who don’t want to be parents. It’s incredibly evident and detrimental to society when that happens…which is far often.
