Thanks for sharing your experience and thoughts...I've never been to a Buddhist temple or listened to their sermons and know so little about it. I am so tired of human conflict and division brought on by religion it is the last thing I want to be a part of...each person's spiritual path is their own. Why it needs to be organized to then be forced on others-- leads to problems we can clearly see over and over as students of history...the lessons to me are clear.

And yet that opinion is simply my own. I would never ask anyone to share my spiritual belief/attitude/opinion...I simply ask that they show me the same respect.

Loved your conclusion: walking in love and kindness covers all. To many that's a wishy washy spirituality -- to me, it's perfect and sufficient.
