Thank you for bringing this to light and sharing it with us - I had never thought about this, deeply - until reading this right now. I listened to Ratliff's response here that you attached - and I'm glad I have this visual for the next time I watch a documentary portraying another's trauma -- I can see the delicate balance producers should take before jumping on putting this on screen, and I hope Subject makes us all more empathetic and careful to the demand we create when watching documentaries and yet the huge responsibility they have to the families and lives they portray.
