Thank you for being moved by the Spirit to share and remind this momma of that important lesson.
I think the next few years will be big ones as each of these three sons make some steps forward out of their own choice, and it would definitely be second nature to start to “voice concern”—
But your story and even my own when I married at such a young age and possibly gave my parents a heart attack—I’m reminded as you just did:
Each must forge their path and make it their own.
Recently I told mom, that I now more than ever thanked her for eventually accepting my decision to marry so quickly and with such “little experience” (it’s a story I’ve wanted to write for months but the muse hasn’t hit me )—
And she told me, don’t you remember what you said?
I didn’t.
She said, you said, “Mom I have been convicted by the Spirit”—and as she showed me with her face—
What else can you do as a parent?
I laughed—I do not remember telling her that. But mom and the world would have had reasonable and just fear for me doing what I was about to.
Now that I’m at the age of my sons reaching a very young adulthood—I know my turn is coming up.
Been preparing but I bet it’s still hard! Lol
So I loved loved your story—thanks for sending it to me. Saved so I can reread when needed!!
Biggest hug! And love that it worked for Joseph!! (Was be the one of the gorgeous recent wedding??)
Anyhow—much love dear.
Thanks for the tea and chat! 🥰😀😘😘
