Susan, you're reasonable and lovingly considerate and respectful of others' choices -- as you well said, you just ask for the same.

I had to wear it most of the time being in a country where it was accepted and there was no argument really...but it's so good to not have to wear anymore, and now it's just a choice here - except in medical facilities.

The extremes in the US were and are bad: the I-don't-care, I will-not wear-a mask-even-if-advised was terribly frustrating...and the I-am-wearing-a-mask-24/7 everywhere and so should everyone else and stay far away from me --- is crippling/unreasonable fear that is destructive

What was amazing is - I was never the latter and never have had covid nor any of my family. The ones who were obsessive with the mask and cleaning and how far apart etc -- that I know of -- all have had covid.

Go figure.

Sorry to hear you're seeing that with your friends...hope a kind and respectful balance returns soon!!!!
