Such a pleasant read, Amanda—although sadly reminds me how unprepared I’d be if my survival depended upon my own hands and gardening…unfortunate really. Aside from watermelon, peppers and tomatoes that we briefly grew thanks to my husbands desire to have a garden, I really never grew up near a farm or garden or watched family grow….

I know my grandmother did and had chickens and all—and you shared such a special gift to eat from what was grown right outside your window.
