Sounds like a healthy philosophy to me!
Your home sounds like it's out of a fairy book - so far away from the harsh, cold, sterile modern world....my home is so opposite and yet I was transported to a home where you can appreciate, live along, live off of and peacefully commune with the beautiful nature that is so absent here.
I'm given a tiny spot to plant -- I put in so many things - LOL - dying for a tree, color, green - just anything natural - I was the exception. I'm flabbergasted that everyone here - just tiles that area or omg - puts artificial grass. Like seriously?!!! This one tiny spot and you can't even plant damn natural grass??!!
How they don't need or understand how marvelous nature is - and again, mine is but a SPECK compared to yours...
My previous home had that...oh, it was just amazing, I miss it.
But Sadie - let me reel it back in and say: its your home. Continue to enjoy and live yours as your own - thanks for reminding me to not judge. To not assume everyone wants the manicured or straight edges /designed outdoors...
Your message was heard and appreciated...I wish your neighbors could read your story!!!! Thanks for sharing.
