So sorry to read of the challenge—if I may, I’ll offer this for your daughter:
1. Don’t feel guilty—sometimes life happens and we make decisions that are difficult for our loved ones, but if this is best—it’ll work out

This is for you Bernie:
Sometimes when that many years go by since seeing our own little ones, it’s very hard to handle a grand like we did our own. Give yourself permission to be a grandma…to be the support for your daughter and not need to be the sergeant with your granddaughter

Clearly you’re both trying—you are both loving, caring, intelligent and wise mothers who will find a way to make it work….don’t compare it to another.

The minute we start comparing, the more stress and frustrated we feel by how we think it’s supposed to go.

As you kept writing Bernie: this is difficult and not easy on any of you.

Much love to all! I feel this will be temporary…hang in there!!!
