So sorry Grace, but dear heart, he too needs to adjust and learn to sleep through some sound. You both have adjustments and don’t let the obsession of silence send you into the rabbit hole. There are great ear plugs he can use, you can get a standing fan (creates a hum that will drown out the outside noise and point away from him if he doesn’t want breeze) or use those soothing nature sounds…and he can create a relaxing haven and use an eye patch. You both will make this work as you have in past, but it concerns me that this is bringing on such anxiety.

When we have babies, some people walk on eggshells to keep babies sleeping.

One of the things those of us who grew up in third world countries learned well is: life moves on normally and the baby learns to sleep through it all when you teach them to adapt. We didn’t create silence and they adapt.

Your hubby can adapt too….👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🩵🩵🩵
Here’s wishing you both a smooth transition….

Big hug!
