šŸ˜²šŸ˜žšŸ˜so seriouslyā€”Iā€™m three weeks out from this heartfelt thoughtful responseā€¦.argh!!ā€¦.my sincere apologies Julie.

Thanks for sharing this with meā€”it never ceases to amaze me how just like being at the right place and right time has to do with some pretty lucky moments, we also have the complete opposite:
The wrong person saying the wrong thing at a crucial moment in one persons lifeā€”
What that teacher did was shortsighted and missed the mark on the ā€œsoulā€ of writingā€¦

If it helps anyā€”this teacher entirely chose to applaud us and only told us what to addā€¦.it wasnā€™t ever about what was said that was wrongly written.

To be honest I want more corrections and more instructionā€”but I get a feeling a lot of classes in writing might be about opening the heart and mind to sharing and getting us to show itā€”

So much of it is practiceā€¦.I think a writing group where people share and give feedback to people who they get to know can be goodā€¦.but I still feel it must be hard to give constructive feedback fearing you hurt someoneā€™s feelings.

Dicey.

Thanks for having read this Julieā€¦.I truly appreciate your openness with me. Hugs!!šŸ’•šŸ’•šŸ’•
