So many of us as naturalized citizens understand all too well the question but where are you from. I’ve never said I’m American, I go ahead and say where I was born so I don’t get the…but really, where are you from….
My husband recently told me to stop explaining the background and he’s right…
But to many Europeans and Americans only a certain “look” classifies you as truly being American…or as in this case, British.
