Sara—you made your point eloquently in a very creative fashion…I applaud. This is actually really hard to do—and I don’t think anyone could say this is an opinion piece, rather it’s reflexive. You’re bringing into question the why’s? The how come? The what ifs?
If we don’t answer those questions, history repeats itself.
These are the questions that develop critical thinking.
This helps protect us against herd mentality and manipulation through fear mongering…
We need precisely this in all classrooms…and people learn when they get uncomfortable, when you’re forced to grapple why we believe what we do.

It’s necessary and it’s precisely what’s not being done often enough.
