Rodrigo, I eased into my chair when I saw you wrote for the Narrative Arc, I knew you were about to dive in and when you do—you never fail to awe! Touching, emotional and inspiring believe it or not….just earlier today, at 49, I was wondering just how realistic is it that I am applying for these non teaching jobs. I don’t know that there’s room for a pivot and certainly it’s easy to give up. I know what I love doing, as you beautifully wrote: it’s not hard. But it too made me wonder how and why do we guide children to do what we do when later on in life it’s hard to pivot. So if they do decide later on to change to what they really wanted, what a great disservice when we take away their youth when it’s most easy to find work. Anyhow…I was just reflecting upon how we choose careers and so reading this was such a pleasant irony and surprise. Thanks for sharing your gifts…
You’re now a writer and a talented and gifted one!
