One came to my work email - as if it was the chair of my department...but it was strange that he would contact me as he did with such urgency....

You know how names now appear and the email stays hidden unless you click on it?

Well i replied a couple of times...and thankfully before they "reeled me in" - which by the time they would have asked for account numbers or whatever info that leads to my pocket it would have sounded the alarm...

BUT the fact that I read, stopped and replied - scared me to the degree of con artists that are scamming so many.

It's maddening.

BTW - I've received a version of this scam you shared here too - ugh. So annoying!
