I 100% agree that it’s unclear how the program knows if it’s a complete read, and if that is off—then this ratio is completely a fluke.

I think their program would measure the time spent and yet is looking for a little scroll action and to be sure maybe 70% (throwing a big enough number yet no idea)— of the actual time is spent on article?— No idea!

The times I’ve asked writers to tell me how much time I’ve spent on theirs (the way I did it: I picked a very old article that was no longer on the radar, and after I read, they would check within 12 hours, and every time I’ve had them check—my time is more than the time of the article, because I use the audio button but muted when I read to myself)—however, some read fast and most of it and if it they don’t stay long enough, it won’t count as a read.

In fact, I’m convinced if you just scroll to the bottom—it’s not a read either. The program has to be measuring time….

Anyhow—I look forward to reading more from you and hope you’ll stay on Medium so we can enjoy your gems!
