Oh, sweet Michele - I haven't read the other 45 comments, but I trust and hope I'm the 46th to tell you: you are not responsible. In fact, she is SO lucky to have THE best mom at her side...there is so much we all don't know about the nature/nurture side of parenting, and you've read my own stories where I've felt blame...and I have tons more. I applaud you for writing something that must not have been easy, and it shows your courage, love, and willingness to do whatever it takes...it shows the humanity of how we often make choices because it's the best one for us at that time - and there's no other way to explain it.
