Oh M&Z -- I know one of you is in pain and the other can appreciate and relate...this is to the writer:

You have every right to be angry and frustrated at the incredible challenging time in history that we are living. In my 47 years, I can honestly say the last few have only been in increasing concern, fear and many times great anger at injustices that are occuring near and wide.

In the past when this has happened, the spirit of the oppressed man cannot be repressed forever...unity and courage will rise but unfortunately at heavy costs.

Even if Russia makes great gains -- mark my words: it will be unable to ever contain the great nation and people of Ukraine...but look at the horrifying cost to them and the ripples are felt everywhere.

Agreed -- to rely upon the US that is at such a critical point where their own democracy is at a test, in the next two years we will see the nation tested and I hate to say it, but if it fails...I cannot even begin to wonder where do we look to for a healthy democracy.

Will nations around the world step up in the vaccum and be stronger and better? Will the US be the new nation were we see droves of Americans fleeing in search for a better place?

Regardless of where we end up -- each of us, where we are, need to fight for democracy and are freedom where we are - ruthlessly. We cannot wait for a future government or other nation -- we each have to build what we want from our own villages -- because that is what our founding fathers did.

Greece -- foundational and monumental fathers of so many principles that till today we rely upon: democratic principles.

Do not grow weary...write, cry out, rest, fight, organize, learn, unite ---but don't give up hope.
