Oh, Liberty - you are the strongest woman I've met - officially, now that I've read this piece that made me hold my hand to my mouth and chest 99% of the time and finally stood up...I couldn't believe what I was reading.
You're a magnificent writer - you took us exactly to the depth of pain - and truly it's just inconceivable. Thanks for hanging in. Thanks for fighting - for believing and saying: your body is beautiful and will heal itself. The power of the human mind is a gorgeous thing...now that you say doctors know so little of CRPS - just is a sobering reminder of how much we don't understand the complexity of how our nerves, brain, muscle, tissue, organs - all can affect one another. Ugh - sometimes I feel we know so much, then I read an article like this - and am reminded, "We have a long way to go, still."
But still - there is gratitude. Liberty, you have come such a long way. You are to be applauded and hope you'll continue to write and share your journey.
What an inspiration you are.
I hope you have found a community of those who suffer from CRPS so that you can encourage one another to keep going.
Nice to meet you!
