Oh - dear Denise - well, how much time do you have?! LOL...first of all, I owe you a reply to that email (here's the short version: LOVED it and laughed while watching it...longer version will come by email!)....

Short version: I have drafts unfinished, because I wrote them so poorly and for therapeutic reasons and they just might stay there.

The ones that need to be finished and are not is for the exact reason you said: I fear what would be thought of me OR - biggest fear: I will waste someone's time.

I already have imposter syndrome. On one of my good stories, I already got the: "this is a waste of a time" message - so that was a dagger that certainly I'm going to take awhile to pull out of my chest.

BUT - the truth is exactly what you said:

We need to be truthful, and kind to ourselves.

And here's the deal Denise: some stories no matter what are going to be read by those of us who just adore you and want to get to know you. Some will miss the mark with many. That will happen to all of us.

But I'm learning - if we don't "just write" -- then we will never move forward and learn.

By the way - you are a writing machine! So maybe you're just tired. I don't think that you have anything huge to worry about. You probably just needed a break.

And I will tell you off the bat - four of those titles are ones I REALLY want to read!!!!!
