There's nothing like the evidence of love and devotion that is indirectly told to us through an anecdote or story...I can imagine him telling you all energetic and worked up, and you just smiling -- taking the moment fully! And especially after not seeing him for weeks...welp! 😜🥰👏🏽

PS familiar with the difficulties of those marriages...my father worked on oil wells out at sea (really lake in our case)...and the pressures it places on marriages - not easy...and yes the work they did was so dangerous; my dad has stories upon stories...you made me think about that as I read yours!
