Oh AJ - this hurts my heart for you. I know this overwhelming feeling and being pulled in many directions. Okay so I'm going to share this for two reasons:

1. You're not alone - many of us feel this way

2. sharing what I'm trying to do - to help us both break the cycle

AJ, the hard decisions that we have to make and force us to take the actions we need to do are easily avoided by doing "busy work." The busier we keep ourselves, the more we feel like we are being "productive" - it adds a layer of dopamine feeling like we are contributing. I do it ALL the time - and yet the things I need to do that I find difficult and painful I place at the bottom of the list.

Eat the frog - you and I need to do this:

Identify what is going to help your income in a meaningful way and do that first thing in the morning every day...as I write it - it's for me too. I am sharing it - because I need someone to tell me too.

All the other stuff we are good at : organizing, cleaning, sorting -- that's what soothes us because we want to organize. Then the end of the day comes - and you're frustrated because we didn't get past where we were to start the day.

Plan your day - and give yourself time limits on those other stuff. When you can't make up your mind on those, it won't eat into the time that you need elsewhere.

And as always -- just take whatever part helps and leave the rest! And with that - I need to get off Medium! Much love and kindness AJ - you got this! You will find a job and it will help decrease the financial pressures!

Keep well!
