Not at all—you spending time whatever it is and then returning—I would imagine adds but I’m sure the system knows to not “over add” the time spent. That’s how I see it…

😉😜Julie lol—well I tell you this, I don’t care about it that much anymore—there’s a hard limit on those numbers unless once Can come up with really relevant and controversial articles often enough—I think those who eventually make more money leverage Medium to then sell how to courses or look for more freelance writing outside of medium.

I was/am methodical with how I read and am loyal, while I appreciate the kindness and sincerity of my readers—I think what’s helped me is developing a strong reciprocal relationship with a core group who know I’ll support and they know I support them. It takes a lot of time Julie—and if you analyze that time, it’s an extremely little payout. (My husband was/is a bit frustrated by how long I was spending in Medium—so I’m pulling back and searching for my balance)

If there was a huge “just readers” —group of people—in Medium whom read what they enjoyed and came back regularly (which is what I think Medium wants to build)—then if those “just readers” came and read as fans of our material—then you would write regularly and yes you would pay attention.

Maybe that’s what happened in the pandemic when people stayed home and just read?—i don’t know. I wasn’t in Medium at the time but everyone talks about the “good old days”—I still have no idea what they are referring to and what that even looks like.

I am happy you’re coming back in and doing your thing and just develop your skill as you want—if we want to earn more, we have to look beyond Medium and use in tandem with other sources.

Not easy—and then it becomes a “job”—so I think we all need to decide what’s “just for the love of it” or this is a part of a steady source of income….two different mindsets.

Just my .02….sorry for being long winded.

Talk to you soon!!! Big hug!!!

Thanks for reading Julie—🌸🌸🌸
