Morning (on this side of the plantet;-)) Art!! Would be more than happy to share -- so let's jump in:
1. The first sentence captured my attention - I sensed an elevated emotion and wanted to know what was happening with the author
2. Was immediately tickled by the title -- because I battle with mine in the same way. I used to work on writing my title in the beginning, but now I tweak and find a score over 70 that will make me feel better about it after I've completed the story. When you summarized what makes a good title, you're also teaching us and reminding us how to write a good headline. (use an experience and make it a teachable moment)
3. The article was easy to read with your formatting of space and it was personal. Most writers, I think -- have battles with writing, and it's encouraging to read and understand the process others go through so we don't feel alone with our own processes
4. You brought it all together from the frustration and pain of the process---to the payoff -- to the why. I loved the "why" -- because I believe that the readership here in Medium is more than a simple read, it is about connection. By letting your readers know what you value, you encourage your readers to communicate why they liked your story.
5. Finally -- you uplifted your reader in closing. You began with yourself but finished with the importance of others -- beautiful.
Your language was clear, it wasn't too short and it wasn't too long.
Oh - and I love the title!!! 😀
