Love how you put that Mike -- thank you for sharing that with me. I recognize that "stupified/awe/enamored" combo feeling when I've read something - and it was how it made me feel or think or see something...and exactly as you've said: I didn't know how the writer did it --and am only now starting to understand. It's a really exciting journey...what's complicated about reading and writing is how personal that journey is.

I noticed you didn't tell me what you learned made good writing - but it's your wisdom in knowing, it takes a personal discovery, and then it looks different to each.

Call HER - she would be astounded by how much you've changed!!!!!!!!! (you made me think of that great memoir you wrote when you last spoke to her....)

I so want a happy-ending romance story!!!!!!
