LOL your comment made me laugh and the truth is: yes, especially in the United States, I feel over time, students have been coaxed -- to the point where it's been detrimental.

I couldn't dream of asking my college professors for things they never wasted a second asking me. Some things have changed for the better; and some things they are correct in that they just don't see the point of college...

But then again - why are we as parents forcing them to go to college when they don't see the point? and when it's soooo expensive? Oh man - we can talk education issues for years - it's a mess.
