Lol you reminded me of the ADT guy who came to sell me a protection system to my house 20 years ago; when he finished I asked him—how does this work? He explained how through my phone line they would be notified of a breach.
I asked him—where’s my phone line. We walked around the house and the box was on the outside.
So I asked him: wait, can an intruder then just cut my phone line before entering —
And once he knew where I was going, I thanked him and bid farewell.
I’m guessing nowadays it’s through the internet line….and hopefully they are buried 😁🤭
