LOL - wow, I had no idea how many of you were perturbed by this? I've read Sahil's and TzeLin's and I've clapped comments - those that are impressive and written to applaud the story - since my earliest of days. But i've never expected a clapped comment to indicate, "come read me" --

Medium elevates the most popular comments, and so when I see a very well written, touching comment that mimicks what I wish I could say as well as it is - I clap it. I've seen many clap others comments in my comment section and I love that people help elevate touching comments.

I get the clap and run on the stories - and yes, those are annoying and those definitely can be a way to get attention. But as I shared with Sahil and Tzelin and now with you, becuase I don't want you all to take it the wrong way -- when I clap a comment, it's to genuinely "applaud" it's well written sentiment.

There's no alterior motive! At least for me! I think others too ;-)
