He nailed it, and this is what I don't think people realize: they are looking at the bulk of what people are doing: it's internal reads.

I see it as they have a social network site of readers and writers: they want people to join!

WHERE we have a chance at making more money, is if they increase that membership fee:

The question remains - will they lose members now? Will others be willing to pay more than $5 a month to join?

Frankly, I think between 5-10 a month is reasonable, and if it means helping the writers make more, I'd be all for it!
