Jenny, wow—what a powerful and sincere reply. Thank you for reading and taking the time to share this personal reflection.

One hundred percent fact : teaching outside of the US is a “dream world” compared to teaching within the US.

My high school US teachers who taught us in Venezuela—would always tell us it’s a dream come true and they could never teach in the US (that was 30 years ago!)…

There is a remarkable and stark difference between how education is seen, valued around the world compared to the US. And what you said—-exemplified that.

Even in the US when I taught in a community college or two that had many “foreign students”—it was always one of my favorite classes!! There is nothing like respect for education and teachers…nothing.

I’m so glad you’re doing what you love and sharing your work with us!! You definitely have a gift—and I look forward to learning from you!!

As for me teaching you to love math—you inspired me to write about that—one of these days, I dwell/churn/and grind out my writings! Lol—but I thank you for the sincere reply!!

Nice to meet you Jenny—a fellow teacher!! Have a nice weekend!!
