Jenn congrats on a great start and reflection! Love that you’re on Jason’s publication…he’s a great leader and there’s so much to learn from him.
Suggestions I have, but take with a grain of salt, as I finished my second month:
Publications that I found welcoming: New Writers Welcome, Midform…check them out…
Make a note of publication guidelines before submitting so you’re not frustrated, I wait 24 hours, then I either self publish or find another; as I’m new losing a day or two is a lot for me.
I do have a spreadsheet; I keep track of those I follow to make sure I haven’t forgotten them, but unlike you, I don’t have a full time job. So work within what’s best for you—no need to get bogged down with strategies that don’t fit your lifestyle.
