I've had one close friend share a lot of personal finances to the point where I feel she thinks I need to reciprocate, but I refuse to.

I don't know why she does this; it irks me. She and her wife have made 6 figures for years; she knows I've been in and out of teaching for years (anyone know that if you teach you're not banking!!!!) --- I have three kids and putting two in college; she has none...

Our circumstances can't get any more different and then get this, she tells me that have X-millionS right now, and still feels she's behind! (This was about 4 years ago)

I swear I wanted to reach through the phone and slap her - like WTF - is this some competition, cause I truly could not give a phuck! She's too a very close friend -- hate it when she did that....thankfully hasn't happened again and I will steer very clear from that conversation ever heading in that direction.

My point is: you did the right thing and are not being a baby. He was childish.
