It's all quite curious how we each deal with it. In fairness to Mom, she grew up with no fantasies - a very harsh childhood.
The fact that for 10 years she orchestrated most of it makes me eternally grateful for the magical world I did get to experience...
It seems for the most part we pass on what we experience. I learned reading your response that since it wasn't broken to you that way - you likewise didn't. There's something to be said about our experience and our reaction to it - and how we then continue it.
I started to share an additional "idea" that I felt started to take away from my core message. What I wanted to share was that my husband's background and experience were drastically different from mine.
I share that because I wonder if your sons'/daughters' partners/spouses were the factors that they too had to incorporate...as I did.
I love that you nurture and welcome a fervent imagination - a beautiful gift!
Thanks for engaging with me, James. I enjoy it. Have a wonderful day!!
