It used to say it at the top of the story's stats page - and it could take a few hours or days, and it would say "chosen for further distribution" - that was the only way.

That's what they stopped "displaying."

But the code (behind the stories) indicates when Medium chooses to distribute, and the extension checks the code to see if it is, and that's what it reports along with the tag (if you use the Chrome extension).

Please note, if you do attach the extension - it needs a couple of minutes to display information when you're on your stats page, so you have to be a little patient while you give it time to upload. ;-)
