I'm so sorry Ira that you experienced that trauma and I applaud you for writing about and exposing the abuse that is quite frankly disgusting and should not be tolerated.

Quite frankly you are incredibly loving to the regious community. I too grew up with highly regligious circles but not around the fundamental theology that can carry these evagelicals to some scary extremes. Even so - I currently don't want to have anything to do with religion. I've seen and know too much -- I will not be a part of it.
